🏆 The Good :
Let me start off by saying, this is one of my favorite macaroni and cheeses on the planet. For a few reasons, but namely… they use VELVEETA in their cheese sauce. Velveeta is one of my favs, I don’t care what anyone says about it. It has such a smooth mouth-feel, and it’s always sharp with a slight tang. It’s magnificent. And Velveeta is only the start of what makes this mac and cheese so awesome. They go on to add sriracha, which gives a wonderful heat and slight acidic bite, bite-sized pieces of chicken breast, sauteed red onion, toasted garlic, and a SUPER generous helping of shaved parmigiano reggiano on top. They also switch up the noodles they use often. I’ve had Indoroni made with penne, bow ties, shells, rigatoni… pretty much everything but the long, thin pastas. I usually don’t like chicken in my mac and cheeses, but I think that it adds a lightness to an otherwise heavy dish. I love the flavor of garlic and onions, and think they go really well with the spiciness of the Sriracha. The shaved parm adds a nice salty, nutty bite. This is truly a flavor punch, and it’ll hurt so good.
🚫 The Not so good :
This is a very rich dish, as mentioned above. It is not for everyone. If you don’t like rich foods, you might not like this. Though the dish has some acid from the Sriracha, I suppose it could use another acidic element to brighten it up.
