🏆 The Good :
I’m a huge fan of burrata, which is basically a ball of fresh mozzarella enclosing a creamy, loose, mozzarella-y center. This fried burrata had a nice fry on it, and was golden brown with crispy exterior. The red sauce was fine, nothing monumental, but did the job.
🚫 The Not so good :
The cheese to breading ratio was a bit off for me. Meaning, there was hardly any cheese once I cut the dang thing open. I think that because burrata was used, the center became even more liquid-y than it would cold or at room temperature and it got lost in the sauce, making the sauce more watery. Sadly the only real bites of mozz I got were in a relatively thin layer attached to the breading. I guess there’s a reason why fried mozzarella is so popular, and why you don’t see fried burrata on a lot of menus.
