🏆 The Good :
First of all, how adorable is this little fondue set? I feel like I’m at adult summer camp making the big kid version of s’mores or something. I think I need to get one for home use. OK, moving on to our rendez-vous with the fondue. The cheese that Nido Cafe uses is slightly sharp and nutty, and the white wine used adds a nice tang. The bread cubes are toasted, which gives a nice textural contrast with the fondue.
🚫 The Not-so-good :
Though the bread is toasted, I found the cut to be a bit small. It is somewhat challenging to secure a piece of bread onto your fondue fork without chopping it in half. I also think that the small size gives less of a textural opportunity within the bread itself. Had the bread pieces been a bit larger, you could more easily pick them up, and you would have an opportunity for a crunchy outside and chewy interior. I understand that since the opening for the fondue is pretty narrow, the bread needs to be small in size. The price we pay for cute kitchen stuffs.
Have you been to Nido Cafe before? If so, what did you think of it? If not, would you head OTP to try this dish? I want to know it all, so tell me everything in the comments below! Also, if you have thoughts or feelings about this review or any others, please tell me about that in the comments below as well!
